England - Peak District to Yorkshire Dales

There has been a church here since the 9th century. It is named after St Wilfrid because story has it that he called at the village in the 600s and baptised the locals, preaching from a rock beside the River Wharfe. There is quite a collection of Burnsall Stones that were carved between the late 9th century and the early 11th century.
